Corporate Council on Africa is the essential connection to business in Africa.
Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) is the leading U.S. business association focused solely on connecting business interests in Africa. Established in 1993 to promote business and investment between the United States and the nations of Africa, CCA serves as a neutral, trusted intermediary connecting its member firms with the essential government and business leaders they need to do business and succeed in Africa. CCA uniquely represents a broad cross section of member companies from small and medium size businesses to multinationals as well as U.S. and African firms. Our members are invested in Africa's most promising sectors including agribusiness, energy, finance, health, ICT, infrastructure, security, tourism and trade facilitation.
Corporate Council on Africa is a key resource for conducting successful business in Africa and in an era of shifting U.S. policy and rapidly changing markets, we are especially committed to championing business and trade between the U.S. and Africa. We work closely with governments, multilateral groups and businesses to improve Africa’s trade and investment climate and to raise the profile of Africa in the U.S. business community. Most importantly, we work with our member companies to help them increase their investment in and trade with the nations of Africa. CCA services its members through a number of sector- and country-specific working groups, high-level special events, business conferences, customized member services, trade missions and advocacy programs.
Corporate Council on Africa has had three CEOs since its founding: David Hummel Miller (from 1993 to 1999), Stephen Hayes who served for seventeen years (from 1999 to 2016) and Florizelle Liser (from 2017 to present)

About CCA's U.S. - Africa Health Security and Resilience Initiative
The U.S.- Africa Health Security and Resilience Initiative (HSRI) is a program by the Corporate Council on Africa that brings together major U.S. and African leaders, corporations, multilateral organizations, foundations, and other stakeholders to collaborate on developing policies, promoting strategic partnerships, providing critical Africa health-related information, and facilitating investment to strengthen Africa’s health system.
As a member-driven initiative, HSRI focuses on priorities identified by member companies. In phase I, members identified three main areas of focus, including disease management, universal health coverage and trade and investment.
In Phase II, HSRI continues to partner with members to feature more practical examples of how companies and governments can work together to solve specific problems and expand trade and investment, with the aim of improving public and private sector engagement and increasing opportunities for public-private partnerships.
