You are invited to a reception in celebration of the 10-Year Anniversary of the establishment of the President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa (PAC-DBIA).

Since being established in 2014 (see Executive Order here), the PAC-DBIA has served three Presidents over four separate Council terms and produced a myriad of actionable recommendations and insightful analysis that have informed – and continue to inform – U.S. Government policies and programs aimed at deepening U.S.-Africa trade an investment ties. This reception will be an occasion to commemorate the work and impacts of the PAC-DBIA and gather an array stakeholders invested in building relationships between the United States and the nations of Africa for conversation and networking.

Please join Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves, CCA President and CEO Florie Liser, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce U.S.-Africa Business Center President Kendra Gaither, along with senior officials from across the U.S. Government, former and current Members of the PAC-DBIA, and executives from other private sector companies doing business in Africa for this special event to celebrate 10 years of impactful public-private dialogue on U.S.-Africa commercial engagement.  We will also be joined by U.S.-Africa policy thought leaders, and representatives from the African Diplomatic Corps, and U.S. Congressional representatives.  In celebrating the past, it will also be an excellent opportunity for new connections and discussions about the future ahead for U.S.-Africa economic and business relationships.

This reception will follow the final meeting of the current term of the PAC-DBIA, held from 3pm – 4:40pm ET on the same day at the White House, where the PAC-DBIA will present and adopt a comprehensive report reviewing the Council’s activities, analysis, and recommendations over the last 10 years.
