Established in 2025, the NSMC was created as a public-private partnership to accelerate the responsible development of Nigeria's extensive mineral resources, including lithium, tantalum, gold, copper, and rare earth elements. As Nigeria advances its critical minerals strategy, the government is eager to strengthen partnerships with the United States private sector to promote investment, expand secure supply chains, and create long-term value for both countries.
