Kelly Burton, an accountant, loving daughter and sister, friend, theater lover, sports enthusiast, and world traveler entered this world on February 11, 1987 and unexpectedly departed on October 29, 2025.
She was a graduate of Elizabeth Seton High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. As the middle of three children she was a calm center for the family. She was an introvert, and friends knew they could count on her and she could count on them. She enjoyed going to New York to see extended family, attend plays, eat beets and horseradish at Veselka, and enjoy many of the other things the city had to offer. Always an avid baseball and football enthusiast she spent many happy hours viewing her favorite teams. She found the home of her heart traveling in Africa. This travel was introduced by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) where she dedicated more than 15 years of service to a cause she cared about and people who brought her joy and helped her grow. She rose to the role of Senior Accountant through her hard work, integrity, and professionalism. She was known for her kindness, steady presence, and deep commitment to CCA's mission and the African continent. She left a legacy of service, compassion, and meaningful contributions that strengthened the organization. As the tendrils of grief wrap around the hearts of all who knew her, we will remember her for her warm spirit, resilience, and the positive impact she made on everyone around her..
