Corporate Council on Africa's

U.S. - Africa Health Security and Resilience Initiative

cordially invites you to attend a virtual meeting on

AMA Technical Committees &

AU Model Law Implementation: Briefing with SAHPRA

We are pleased to invite you to the next virtual session of the Corporate Council on Africa’s (CCA) U.S.-Africa Health Security and Resilience Initiative (HSRI) Regulatory Harmonization Seriesfeaturing Dr. Boitumelo Semete-Makokotlela, Chief Executive Officer of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).

In this session, Dr. Semete-Makokotlela will share perspectives from her leadership at SAHPRA and her engagement with AMA’s Technical Committees, including how AMA is supporting countries in adopting and implementing the AU Model Law through the Legal Reform Technical Committee. The conversation will also highlight how continental-level reforms can be translated into practical implementation at the national level - and how industry can engage constructively to support that progress.

The Regulatory Harmonization Series provides CCA members and other stakeholders a platform to hear directly from African regulatory leaders, exchange insights, and learn about U.S. and African government and corporate efforts focused on regulatory systems strengthening and advancing regulatory harmonization across Africa’s growing health sector. The series also creates opportunities for the private sector to engage directly with government leaders on practical pathways to support implementation and improve access to quality health products.
