AGOA PRIVATE SECTOR FORUM

~ Forum will take place from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM at USIP ~

As the premier organization focused exclusively on promoting greater U.S.-African business partnerships, the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in collaboration with the U.S. Institute of Peace is delighted to invite you to participate in a reception following the 21st AGOA Private Sector Forum.  The Private Sector Forum will provide critical input for the official ministerial meetings which will take place in Washington July 25-26.

The theme of this year’s Private Sector Forum is “Setting the Stage for the Next Phase in the U.S.-Africa Trade and Investment Partnership,” which recognizes that this year’s Forum takes place at an important confluence of several important developments, including the continued advance of the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA), the introduction of African Union programs to support manufacturing in sectors like automotives and health care, and global shifts in manufacturing to improve supply chain security.  These developments make it more important than ever to consider the role of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) in supporting greater trade and investment ties between the U.S. and Africa as AGOA’s current authorization expires in 2025.

We hope you can join us for the reception from 5:30 PM  to 7:30 PM on July 24, which will be held at the U.S. Institute of Peace, 2301 Constitution Avenue, NW, in Washington D.C.

Please RSVP no later than July 19, 2024.
