cordially invites you to attend a virtual meeting on
Operationalizing the African Medicines Agency:
Strategy, Sustainable Financing & Industry Engagement
We are pleased to invite you to the inaugural virtual session of CCA’s U.S.-Africa Health Security and Resilience Initiative (HSRI), National Regulatory Authority (NRA) briefing series featuring Dr. Delese Mimi Darko, Director General of the African Medicines Agency (AMA).
The NRA Briefing Series is designed to provide CCA members and other stakeholders with a platform to hear directly from industry and policy leaders, exchange insights, and learn about U.S. and African government and corporate programs focused on regulatory systems strengthening and advancing regulatory harmonization across the continent.
In this inaugural session, Dr. Darko will share insights from her leadership in operationalizing the African Medicines Agency, including the strategic planning process, plans for implementing sustainable financing mechanisms, including donor funding and user fees as well as opportunities for private-sector engagement in supporting AMA’s operationalization.
This discussion will highlight how alignment between AMA priorities and private-sector needs can help advance market access, sector growth, and stronger regulatory systems across Africa.
We hope you will join us for this timely and engaging conversation and help kick off what promises to be a valuable series for dialogue and collaboration.
